Can we please talk about the pineapple and orange adorned columns?!
The colors alone in La Brisa are enough to draw anyone in - or at least anyone with an eye for some good color combos ;) La Brisa exudes happiness, beachiness, and quaintness in its overall use of color and decor, which truly transport you to a tropical place south of the border.
Upon walking in, we were very happily greeted by one of the waiters, and immediately seated and given a menu. I really enjoyed the menu in that you were able to just check off the things that you wanted to order, and then give it to the waiter to avoid any confusion or misinterpretation. Below are scans of the actual front and back of the menu:
My boyfriend and I ended up ordering corn esquites, several crispy local tile fish tacos, one grilled yucatan chicken taco, and one crispy shrimp taco (not all tacos are featured, as more were ordered after the fact!) along with pineapple juice. Before our food was served, the manager had noticed that I was taking a bunch of photos and I explained to him that I would be posting the photos on my blog, and he said something along the lines of "Oh we love that!" And then brought over this amazing looking frozen piรฑa colada and said "For your blog!" *heart eyes* Needless to say, it was a really nice gesture and that piรฑa colada was super good.
Pictured above is the corn esquites - corn topped with chipotle mayo, cotua cheese, epazote, and a fresh lime. Yum.
